Hot Hot Hot

After this point the road dropped off and scared-crapless over here couldn't bare to look. Partly because R was driving.

Roadarama 2011: Viva Las Vegas....and the desert

Across the California Desert ....

....to my castle on a cloud

....where I tried to relive my 19th birthday by forcing R (she came with us for 5 days of our trip) to pretend she was one of my high school girlfriends and go on the rides with me (yes, I was quite vanilla in high school- roller coasters and tattoos). Which almost killed me.

...no place like home.

Sanitized, politically correct, Chanel boutique home?

...and on to redder pastures.

no.10 Yosemite

I wasn't very excited about going to Yosemite, but then we got there....

Massive, cracked granite boulders lay on the ground everywhere. It makes you wonder what it looked like 1000 years ago.

Yosemite is famous for granite walls and waterfalls. The rangers told us we were lucky it was still early enough in the year (April) that there was enough water for the falls. Every waterfall we saw was falling into snow.

Roadarama 2011, stop no.8: Calistoga a.k.a. the best view from a laundromat, ever.

Well if this doesn't make you want to do your laundry in Calistoga, I don't know what will.

No. 5 Tillamoooooook

I gave b the best cheese I had to offer.
Apparently it wasn't moldy enough for him.

He did like the factory tour though.
